About Us

How it began-

While attending college for Architectural Drafting and Computer Aided Design in 2001, I began my professional woodworking career. I worked for a custom woodworking shop in Cedar Rapids, IA until moving back to Newton. I continued my career in the Des Moines area, where I eventually went on to hold a position as a Project Engineer before starting Woodstyles in 2007. I was fortunate to have been taught from the start by skilled craftsman in a time where quality is so often overlooked. I'm dedicated to building furniture and cabinets that will last for generations to come. I pride myself on creating something unique, beautiful, and functional. I know how to take the time to hear my customers needs, and then not only deliver, but exceed their expectations. My attention to the small detail, fine craftsmanship, and my dedication to the customer are just a few of the trademarks of this business. I look forward to working with you in the future.
